1917 advertisement for E. A. Newall
Edward Newall was an electrical and mechanical engineer from Battersea in London. It appears that he bought the business interests off Henry Hubble around 1916. No adverts for a garage in what was at that time known as ‘Market square’ are found in the war-time newspapers until this announcement appeared in the Herald on May 17 1917.
Note that the Garage was described as well-equipped and that Electric Light and Power Installations were offered – the first in Westerham
