Chas. Hooker printer and stationer, High Street 1900

This rather poor and grainy photograph shows two gentlemen standing in the doorway of Charles Hooker’s ‘Herald Steam Printing Works’ on the corner of Stratton Terrace around 1900. The two children standing in the foreground are outside today’s (2018) Drill Hall, then Westerham’s Public Hall, opposite the Laundry.
