1912 Streatfeild Warde wedding
At St. Mary’s church, Westerham, Kent, Mr. Harold Streatfeild, son of the Rev. Wm. Champion Streatfeild, of Charts Edge, was married to Dorothy, daughter of Lieut.-Colonel and the Hon. Mrs. Warde, of Squerryes Court, Westerham. The church was prettily decorated, and the Rev. W. Streatfeild, the bridegroom’s brother officiated, assisted by the Rev. E. Ram, vicar of Oxted, and cousin of the bride, and the Rev S. Le Mesurier, vicar of Westerham. The bride, given away by her father, wore a white satin robe draped with embroidered chiffon and Brussels lace, and her Brussels veil was lent by her aunt, the Hon. Mrs Ram. Two little pages, in white sailor suits, and five bridesmaids, dressed in pastel-blue taffetas, with lace fichus, and black straw hats trimmed with pink roses, were in attendance, while Mr. Gerard Watney acted as best man. After the reception at Squerryes Court, Mr. and Mrs Streatfeild left for Madeira.
